The Lords Stones define the perimiter of the Round Barrow, and also define the junction of boundaries between three Lords, whose lands intersect where the stones lay. The Cairn stones link to three long avenues of Boundary Stones.

The most significant of these Stones is the "three Lords Stone". It is larger and altogether more impressive than the others, having deeply etched prehistoric cup marks. The Lord's Stone is a Kerb Stone, the main purpose of which is to define the perimeter of the Bronze Age burial cairn.

About 10m from the Lord Stones Cairn is a second Round Barrow. There are no large standing stones with this barrow. The two barrows are obviously part of a Bronze Age cemetery.

This folly Stone Circle found on the 301m summit of Green Bank in Lord Stones Country Park was only erected in 2013 when the Lord Stones Restaurant was re-opened. Rather than a full stone circle it is only a semi-circle with 5 stones. To the east of the Circle, in the background, is Cringle Moor.

From the east side of Green Bank, looking west past the modern Green Bank Circle you can see Carlton Bank rising sharply to its 408m summit.

The Hall Cliff Boundary Stone lies on its own to the south west of the Green Bank Circle. It is part of the Avenue of Standing Stones that define the boundaries of the lands owned by the three lords.

At the rear of Lord Stones Country Park is a Cairn Circle, described as a Round Barrow dated between the late Neolithic Period to the Bronze Age, i.e. about 2400 - 1500 BC. The Barrow has a well defined earth and stone mound about 0.5m high and 10m wide. 2 Stones lie exposed at the top. Both are grooved and hollowed but as a result of erosion rather than carving.

This Round Barrow at the rear of Lord Stones restaurant shows signs of extreme weather erosion on all exposed faces.

The land at Lord Stones Country Park rises to 301m at Green Bank near to where Carol is sitting. The land to the north falls sharply to Busby Wood, which occupies the space below Green Bank and the stubbed end of Carlton Moor.

The Lord Stones Pod Village is set in a beautiful, peaceful settiing.
