Ingleby Arncliffe Village, Coast to Coast
Ingleby Arncliffe has a wide range of historic and attractive houses, many of which are listed with Historic England. The village is separated from the village of Ingleby Cross by only 200 yards, and this, in turn, is separated from the properties forming part of the estate of Arncliffe Hall, by about the same distance.
Osmotherley is 2 miles south and Mount Grace and Lady's Chapel are even less distance away. Ingleby Arncliffe is located near the foot of Arncliffe Wood and Scarth Wood Moor on the North York Moors. Swainby is only a mile to its east.
Monks House Ingleby Arncliffe
Monks House in Ingleby Arncliffe was once known as Chastleton Cottage. It has a Grade II Listing with Historic England. The property consists of two buildings. The property is located near the cross roads facing onto Gabriel Pond Farm and Ingleby Water Tower. The property dates to the 16th or 17th centuries.
Lantern Cottage Ingleby Arncliffe
In keeping with its name this cottage has a lantern in its top window facing onto Cross Lane.
Gabriel Pond Farm
Gabriel Pond Farm is best known as a landmark bus stop for routes between Northallerton and Stokesley. It is located on the Coast to Coast path at a set of crossroads from which the village is accessed and from which the North York Moors are accessed.
The Old School
The Old School faces onto Ingleby Water Tower. It was converted to a private residence many years ago, and is next door to a more modern building using the name School House, which is in fact an Air B&B.
